This is a product-design summary, not a binding Terms of Service. Final terms require the operating entity, commercial plans, and counsel approval.
Accuracy limits
Automated transcription and notation assistance can be wrong. Brightclef can still land the score directly in practice while keeping uncertainty visible. It does not promise note-perfect output or replace a teacher, publisher, or rights professional.
Your music and your rights lane
Final intake is intended to distinguish music you created, verified public-domain/openly licensed material, expressly licensed material, and a counsel-approved private personal-practice lane for lawfully obtained sources. Owning a physical or digital copy is not the same as owning copyright.
Private practice is not public permission
A private import does not authorize public sharing, catalog inclusion, marketing, model training, unrestricted printing, or distribution. Those uses require a separate product control and sufficient rights.
Limited processing permission
The final terms are expected to request only the limited permission needed to store, process, render, play, correct, and return the private material you submit. They will not claim ownership of your original music or grant you rights in third-party works.
Service enforcement
Before commercial launch, Brightclef must publish and operate a copyright notice/counter-notice process and repeat-infringer policy. Material may be disabled while a rights claim is evaluated. Credit/refund and restoration rules remain for counsel and commerce implementation.
Model improvement
The launch posture for using uploads, corrections, or resulting notation to improve models is unresolved. The final terms must state the chosen consent or opt-out model, eligible rights lanes, processors, retention, provenance, withdrawal consequences, and any plan differences. A user agreement cannot supply training rights the user does not hold.
